The simple version

You can listen without creating an account or providing your name or email address. This website has no registration forms, advertising trackers, or visitor analytics. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Internet connections still involve technical information, including your IP address, and our service providers may keep operational logs.

Information involved in using CHEF

Services used by this website

Your browser connects to the following services to provide the features you see:

These connections can disclose your IP address and technical request details to the provider. Providers may process information under their own policies. External source links are optional and open separately.

Cookies, tracking, and your choices

CHEF’s website code does not set cookies, use advertising identifiers, or store a personal listening history. The browser cache used by the installed app contains website files. Hosting or third-party services may have their own technical storage practices. You can clear site data or uninstall CHEF using your browser or device settings.

We do not use cross-site behavioural advertising or sell or share data for that purpose. There is no such tracking to disable in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Your browser can block third-party requests, although artwork, history, fonts, or streaming may then be unavailable.

Why information is processed

We use information only to deliver the station, keep the service secure, resolve technical issues, respond to messages, and meet legal obligations. Where European data-protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests in providing and securing the service and answering correspondence, provided those interests do not override your rights; legal obligations where required; and consent where legally necessary. You may withdraw any consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Sharing and international processing

Information may be handled by service providers needed to operate CHEF, or disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. We do not use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Providers may process data in Canada, the United States, or other countries, where privacy laws may differ. Where applicable law requires it, transfers must use a lawful safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses. Contact us for details about the providers and safeguards relevant to your information.

Retention and security

We aim to keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above and any applicable legal requirements. Email retention depends on the request and whether follow-up or legal records are needed. Technical-log retention is controlled by the relevant hosting or service provider. Contact us for the retention information applicable to your request.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information involved and limit access where possible. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may request access to your information, correction, deletion, a portable copy, limits on processing, or object to processing. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your privacy regulator. Certain US state laws provide rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, and appeal a denied request where applicable. CHEF does not sell information or use targeted advertising.

Email sales@chefdr.com to make a request or appeal. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity; please do not send identity documents unless requested. An authorised representative may contact us where permitted by law. We will respond within the applicable legal deadline and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Some requests are subject to lawful exceptions; we will explain any refusal.

Canadian visitors can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the appropriate provincial regulator. EEA and UK visitors can contact their local data-protection authority.

Children

CHEF has no children’s accounts or information-collection forms and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page and its date when our practices change. If we introduce accounts, forms, analytics, advertising, or other new uses of personal information, we will provide the required notice and obtain consent where necessary before those uses begin.
